Default NEW TRAILS BEING BUILT IN WALKER VALLEY WA

THIS JUST IN.... Smokey Point Cycle Barn and the Skagit Motorcycle Club are hosting a trail BUILDING DAY at Walker Valley. The date is sunday July 9th. we are having two work crews. 9-12 am lunch from 12-1. second shift from 1-4. We are only asking for volunteers for 1 shift. If you choose to work both shifts that would be great.

What we need from you

Ute quads with trailers to carry rocks and brick
bring your own shovels, rakes, ect. We are building brand new trails, we have a permit for nine new ones
a few small chainsaws
if you have little handheld motorola type radios that would be great.

WHAT WE HAVE TO OFFER YOU...
lunch
a special edition "construction t shirt"
and a door prize drawing

if you wish to work both shifts, you will get two shirts and door prizes

if you would like to help us out, please insert your name only in this post.

THANK YOU FOLKS!

Walker Valley is east of Mt. Vernon. You are looking at about 150 miles from I-5/101.

It is comparable to Capital and Belfair. I live in Marysville so its one hour to Walker, or 2 hours to the 2 southern areas. I think the 2 down there are faster trails and typically funner because of the speed. You have a 4x4, so you would probably like the technical trails at Walker. That does not mean they are all technical (kids can enjoy), but some of it gets hairy on a sport quad.

Would I drive a 150 miles for a day ride to Walker? Yes a time or 2 a year. I drive 180 miles to Moses, so yeah, Walker is cool.

I live only 10 minutes from the waddle creek entrance of cap forest and my mom lives on porter creek 2 miles from the sw entrance. But I never ride there anymore, rode there for 15 years and want something with a challenge or at least better scenery.
