Default Arizona Legislature to Vote on OHV Funding This Week

Americans for Responsible Recreational Access (ARRA) has sent out an alert to Arizona residents asking them send a letter to their state Senator to encourage support for HB 2443, a pending bill that will sustain OHV trail riding opportunities in Arizona. It provides funding for OHV programs including trail maintenance, access, and education.

Action by the legislature is expected this week, so it is important to contact the Senators ASAP. If you would like to know more about this or how to write to your legislator go to http://www.arra-access.com/campaign/AZHB2443.

FYI - Arizona House Bill 2443:
- Creates funding to provide for sustainable OHV recreation
- Creates funding for OHV law enforcement
- Creates OHV plate to allow identification of vehicles for law enforcement
- Creates funding for PM 10 dust abatement issues
- Creates funding for education and information on OHV use and impacts
- Does not draw from State General Fund
