Default Riding on City Streets Ham Lake, MN

Ham Lake recently changed the law to allow atvs and golf carts on city streets......20mph max, no county roads or ditches, only ride on extreme edge of road, must have lic, and insurance.

anyone else from the area?

In N Mn you can ride any road except State Highways. You can also ride in the city of Thief River Falls and most other towns.

Ya, they thought about County roads, but excluded them for some reason.....prob because some of them are hella tight with a lot of traffic. Lotta bad accidents out here. Btw Ham Lake is only 36 square miles. Just cool that they're loosing restrictions. This is actually suburbs not rural.

The nearby town of St. Francis does not allow ATV's or snowmobiles on city streets, but there is a trail through town. In Northern Wisconsin, a lot of county and town roads are open to ATV's. Signs admonish ATV'ers to "stay on pavement." Authorities don't want them tearing up ditches and creating erosion problems.
