Apparently you don't expect a Chinese response when you're running operations a few miles off their coast. There's no comment from me whether or not it was justified, or not.

 

Running operations? You mean peaceably transiting international waters and being obstructed and harassed for doing so.

I guess while you're over here safe and sound, hugging you trees and thinking the change we're gonna get from our new savior is just gonna happen instantly, there are quite a few men and women risking their lives for you to do that. And you can just go right ahead thinking the world is a really swell place where no one will do you any harm.

I will continue to support those men and women and give them the benefit of the doubt whenever their personal safety is in question.

I say thank you to all those men and women who have, are and will serve this great country of ours.

And I say that without stabbing a knife in their backs as some people seem to think is ok.

You continue to amaze me. Somebody (Moose?) brings up Chinese harassment a couple of miles off the China coast and this becomes a "tree hugger", I support the troops and you don't discussion. Funny how the people that bitch the most about tree huggers are the ones that complain the most about not having access to the trees and wild places to ride. You make a lot of sense. Let's cut everything down and open everything up for travel just for you Scooter. Then we can all go mudding together! -Clearly you're no sportsman, or have anything to do with fishing / hunting / camping. I guess we can call you a tree hater. So according to you, we've got the people that are concerned and/or know something about ecology, they're the "tree huggers" (anybody that's got an education right). Then, everybody else are the "tree haters". Gotta be one, or the other, right? Classic attitutde. You fit the bill perfectly Scooter. The is no in between.

Again, it's not a matter of right or wrong. It's a matter of the fact that one has to plan on Chinese getting involved when we're that close to their shores. They've laid claim to these waters. If the government was so concerned about the "sailors" (since it wasn't supposed to be a military operation) why did they send them that close to China without an escort? Answer me that there Scooter.....
