what drives me nuts about people with your point of view is they all have the same warped notion that they pay all this money in taxes and get nothing back- they (you) think the country owes you everything, but you want to pay nothing. You enjoy the freedoms of a healthy military and police force, the luxury of being able to summons a fire truck any time or anywhere, want due process when you get arrested or get stolen from... then bitch about forking 1/3 your pay in taxes.
you bitch about the shitty looking municiple center in your town or the small volenteer police / fire dept in your city... then whine & bitch when they raise your taxes to pay for it!

people like you will be the death of this country.

I bitch when I pay into something and it goes into someone elses pockets. My country owes me nothing. You owe me nothing. Entitlements should all be abolished. I don't want any government money. There should be no government education. I think we should repeal all firearms laws. I think government could be cut by about 60 to 70 percent.
This country survived without a federal income tax for 126 years.

Don't confuse me for some whiney *** socialist.

What I owe my country is my ability to defend the Liberties that were fought so hard for. But now are disappearing. Both parties have done their fair share in taking away our freedoms. I will not live or suffer under tyranny.

I would rather die knowing I fought tyranny than knowing I resigned myself to live under it.

Then you don't understand the Constitution. Taxes are allowed for a standing army for national defense and offense when needed.

I would love to see them get rid of the rest of the taxes though.

You should probably be living in an area where they have a volunteer fire department and a county constable. I know just the place way out in the boonies. I was just getting firewood up there today. Of course, it will take the volunteers a while to get out there and there aren't any hydrants around.

If you expect services in your community you should expect taxes. If you want to live without them find an area like I mentioned up in VT or some place out in the middle of nowhere. Just remember, if it snows you'll have to clear your street.

Awsome thread .
A lot of my hard earned $$$ goes to taxes. For the longest time I thought I was getting porked by the state and feds. Now I have a child with severe mental and physical disabilities and I look at things from a different point of view.
Without the help from the state and feds my family would be screwed. When I have to buy a car seat it costs 800+. We bought a safe high chair for my daughter it cost 2500+. She is 6yrs old and still in diapers and she would of died without special formula that cost 40+ per day.
If it was not for the help I get from the state and feds my daughter and my family would be hardcore F****KED. Sure some of our tax $ gets spent on the unwashed masses who chose to sit on the couch, eat doritos and watch opra all day (thanks Jay Severin). But alot of it goes to people like me and my family who need it.
I hope you guys will never have to deal with the issues that I have to deal with every day of my life. But the $ all of you pay in taxes allows me and my family to live a semi normal life. Thanks!!!!
If you dont like what I have to say F****K OFF and move to Mexico!!!!

They are not used as a tax. They suck up a huge part of the tax burden workers here have. These programs do have to go. We can't afford them. But if you leave Obama in office you WILL be worse off than just about anyone else being in there. He loves the entitlements and more people are on the public dole than previously.

It's already broke. We are currently paying approximately $500 million per week in interest alone to the Chinese.
