Which is built Ford tough

You are a lot better off with a diesel than that crappy V-10. The diesel will run forever, won't eat as much gas, requires very little maintenance and has a higher resale value, easy choice screw the V-10 and go with a stroker.

I have a 03 F350 Crew Cab, Short Box, FX4, Lariat, Diesel, Programable SuperChip with 4" lift and 35" tires and I am extremly happy with my truck, it gets around 18.5 mpg on the Highway and 16 in town. Towing my 16' trailer with 4 quads I still get 15+mpg on the highway, it is not broke in yet so it should get better as it goes.
So with that in mind I would I would go with a Diesel, but you want to get a gas engine, so I would suggest going with the F150 with the 5.4 over the V10. The V10 loves to drink gas, plain and simple, but you will love the size of the F250 over the F150. I drive a F150 quad cab with a 5.4 4x4, SB, for work and I get around 13-15 on the hwy but it has plenty of power to tow a few quads.
I have a picture of my truck in my gallery if you would like to check it out, or go to my page on Ford truck world here: http://www.fordtruckworld.com/mygallery.ten?id=7211
Good luck

What kind of suspension lift is that? Damn Ford and their independent front suspension on light duties, It's cheaper for you to lift you're F250 than it is to lift my 150.
