93-97 camaro question please help
I was wondering if any of you have one, z28 or base. I was wondering if you could see the hood when driving with a power seat raised up all the way. I know that this is a stupid question but I need to know. please help if you can. also if you can't is it hard to get used to if you have never drove a vehicle with out seeing the hood. the reason i am asking is because I have never driven something without seeing the hood.
also do you think this would be a good deal. I found a 1995 camaro z28 with 118000 miles on it that runs good and has a new transmission, but the downside it that it will need another rear end but i can get the car like it is for $3500. so if you can help me with this please reply. thanks.

I sometimes drive my dad's van and you can't see the hood on that. I don't have any problems though.
It sounds like you are getting ripped off on that rearend though. A Currie Stage 1 COMPLETE rear end WITH locker is only $2200. I have replaced rear ends before and there really isn't a lot to it. With a few buddies and some jacks and jack stands, It only took us about 30 minutes to remove the onld axel. SO, They shouldn't be charging you that much even with labor

Yeah, you can get them cheap from a junk yard. Look for something that has a limited slip or locking diff. It makes for some fun powerslides and burnouts Also, a lower gear ratio will give you better acceleration. All the info should be on the axel itself. Is the camaor a 4.3 or 5.7???

OH yeah, that never put the 4.3 in the camaor did they. Oh well, its a good torquey motor. Didn't they put the 3.8 in there too??? Oh well, if it has the 5.7 they you may want to look for a rearend with a posi. My blazer with the 4.3 breaks traction SOOOOOOO easily. I can't even imagine what it would be like with a 5.7 and a open diff
