Has Everyone signed the Petition to "Protect Your Right to Ride?"
#1
I know that this has been posted before, but it is time to get serious as time is quickly running out! I was over at the High Lifter web sight and noticed that they have extended the dead line to sign the Petition to "Protect Your Right to Ride" Evidently only 1,300 petitions have been sent in! I couldn't believe it, at that rate, we are sure to loose our right to ride and ATV's will be band. If we want to continue to see new and exciting ATV's being manufactured, and not have them all band, or only be allowed to buy an ATV with an engine of 399 cc or less we really need to get serious about sending in these petitions!
There are over 20,000 active members on this forum alone if I remember right, so lets all stand up together, and bombard the Consumer Product Safety Commission with petition's to save our right to ride and buy the ATV's that we want. Let's not let something like the 1980's ban of Three Wheelers happen all over again.
It's easy to fill out a petition and send it in. Just go to www.highlifter.com. On their Home page you will see a link that will take you to a link that will let you print the pre-filled-out petition, all you have to do is sign your name and address and put it in an envelope and mail it in. The address is right on the form.
Come on guy's, 1,300 petition's are not going to prevent a ban or serious restrictions to out sport. It only takes a few minutes to do your part. Don't count on someone else doing it for you. Let's show the Consumer Product Safety Commission that we are not going to stand for this type, or any time of band on ATV's and are favorite riding sport!
Way more people die each year in car wrecks, than from ATV's, but you don't hear about them trying to ban cars, people simply wouldn't stand for it. Let's all show them, that we are not going to stand for a ban on ATV's.
Download several form's, get your wives and other family members and friends to sign them as well, get anyone and everyone that you know to sign them and send them in.
Thanks for everyone’s help!
Brian
