I just drove the 2 of them for the last 2 weeks. The Hemi felt beter down low but the 6.0 got 2 mpg better.

Sweet. I love Corvettes. But unfortunately Chevy is going to have to do a little better then that. Dodge is currently working on a new Hemi V10 for the Viper which is supposed to be putting out 700 - 800HP stock.[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-shocked.gif[/img]

Also in the works is a 6.1L Hemi V8 that produces 500 - 600HP.

Neither of these engines will be out until at least 2005 - 2006. So Chevy can have the spotlight.....for now.[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/img]

Sounds to me like the performance and HP wars are on in the auto industry. I love it. They HAVE to keep raising the bar to beat the competition. Where will it end? This is great though. 5 years ago I never would have thought there would be a production sport pickup with 500HP on the market (the SRT-10). It just keeps getting better and better.

Wrong. I just spent the last couple weeks driving both of them. The Hemo felt better on the low end but not anything noticeable about 40mph. And the Hemi got almost 2 mpg WORSE on average....

 

the 6.0 has more power, im not sure where you heard that from. I thought all this was supposed to be dropped.

 

What do you mean reacts you idiot! Engines don't react! NHRA has used the same basic HEMI design Chrysler came out with in 1964 because it ts the most EFFICIENT design...NOT because it RACTS faster....
