i used novus last week and made my EX plastic look brand new, the secret is using a buffer, but you have to be careful or it will burn little gouges into your plastic. i was very impressed. i had to do the same with mothers polish.

Hey guys, I was afraid a buffer would leave swirls, but I'll give it a try. You know what I JUST FOUND OUT!!
Someone said spray silicone, for shine, and water & mud falls right off!!!!!!!!!! What do ya think? Cycle shop said try applying a hair dryer.

That'll work for mud and heavy stuff but dust and lightweight grime will settle and stick to it....I'd rather the mud come off easy though....
I use Formula2001 since the spray silicon is usually too thick and leaves too heavy of a coat....

A buffer will work, but you should use a foam bonnet, the cloth one will heat up the plastic if you're not careful.

How often do you use Formula 2000? do you let it sit for a while or do you wipe it off right away????

After a good washing,
Try spraying WD30 on it and wipe down good. If you are only looking for a bit of a shine
and the mud will slid right off. But it won't cover scratches.
Where we ride is mostly muddy trails and it makes my quad look brand new.

Next time you are servicing your quad retain the engine oil in a long cylinderical can for 24 hours , drain off top to within 1" of the bottom , wash quad and apply oil with soft cloth. Totally restores plastic plus foot guards like new. I discovered this by accident and highly recommend it.
