alright here is the deal..me and my friends are just starting to build a go kart. I am looking for a suzuki or honda 250r engine or maybe a quadzilla 500r to put in it. I was looking around on Monkeyads.com and they have a bunch of really cheap parts and quads. I was wondering if somebody could help me out. im not sure what is what here, I need to know if these are all diferent, and if they are diferent, what makes them diferent -- suzuki lt230s quadsport, 230 quadracer, 230 quadsport, 250r, lt230ge, ltf250.. what would be the best engine for speed in a go kart? your help is much appreciated. also if any of you have ever made a homemade quad or go kart, any advice, tips, ideas, and stories would be cool. I have never done this but it sounded kinda fun! thanks a lot guys.

 

i would say the 250r honda motor they have been proven to be really quick & you can build them even more as for a suggestions on your cart rollcage & seatbelt if youre putting that kind of motor on it lol. good luck post pics when your done sounds cool

honda definitly! they have the best quality motors and best reputation for them

 

Go all out, put you a 500cc Quadzilla motor on the kart. She would prolly be a lil slow then.

 

lol...the carts that we race use like a 8 horse power lawn mower engine and goes about 90
