I wonder if a 80 is EVEN doing 55

I think a 125 is doing about 75-80

Well my friend had an all stock 02 yz 125 and I would say it did about 70 or so. Since my Raptor at the time would do 78. once I hit 5th gear I could walk away from him.

The reason that I say mid 70's is because I ride with 3 of my friends. They have a stock 01 DS650, stock 03 YZ125, and a 95 YZ125 with a Pro circuit plat. pipe. They raced and the DS BARELY pulled away from the 03 on top end. And a DS's top speed is about 73-75mph. The 95 YZ was running like crap though. They both went from 80's (KX, and RM) to the 125's. There is now way the 80's would get to 70mph. I raced them and I pulled away on top. I top out at 65mph. The 80's MIGHT be able to hit 60 at the most

yes an 80 can get in the 70's pretty easy. i have a kx 125 with a procircut pipe, uni filter, and wiesco pro lite piston, and my cousin has a cr 80 witch is stock accept it is bored .020. and his bike will put mine to shame and i meen bad. i use to have a yz 125 too, and my kx will beet it. I know... I know. your just gonna say i cant ride or there is something wrong with my bike, but im alot better rider than him and my bike runs better than 90% of the bikes around here. you just think the 125 is faster because of a bigger motor, but put an 80 beside a 125 and your notice that the motor is not the only think bigger, a 125 is twice the size of an 80. but dont argue till you ride one and then the other, you will notice a big difference. my cousins 80 was clocked on my dads shadow at almost 80.(stock gearing)

if you gear it high you can! my YZ426 topped out at 80mph and i know a 125 with stock sprokets wouldn't keep up with it. a 125 will run 60 to 65mph.
