T56 6 speed is AWSOME. They put that in the 3/4 and 1 ton Dodges as well as the Viper and I believe the SVT Cobra has it too. Great tranny. As for an automatic, the 727 Torqueflite automatic is built like a tank. That tranny was built to handle the high torque high horsepower muscle cars and can take a lot of abuse. As far as newer trannies, the 4L80E (Turbo 400) is a strong tranny. I have always been a fan of Richmonds and Muncies as well

I love the way the dodge trucks sit. The interesting thing is that to fit 35" tires on a Chevy (IFS) you need at LEAST a 6" lift. To fit 35" tires on a dodge (even the new IFS Ram) all you need is a 4" lift. The Skyjacker 6" lift can fit 37" tires with room to spare. Gotta love the ground clearance of the Rams. My buddy has a 2000 Ram 4x4 1500 and has Goodyear Wrangler AT/S tires LT315/70R16 (roughly 34" tires) on in with stock rims and stock suspension. The only rubbing he gets is when he turns the wheel at full lock

DODGE RAM 2500 CUMMINGS 6 SPEED it dont get any better. This from a certified dodge truck tech. If you dont believe me go out & drive a new DR series 2500 diesel H.O. have had only one 6 speed apart in 5 years & replaced one for a bearing that let loose & broke the cast case. Out of three truck techs at my dealer ship im the only one to mess with a 6 speed. YOU WILL ENJOY!
