It would be good to get one with WASS. It pin points your location more than one without it.

For trail riding one with just the basic features would be fine. I bought one that I could download things to. I figure it would be better to spend the extra money and be able to use it for more than just riding.

It saved us at Big Scrub last weekend.

I bought a Magellan Sprot Trak Map...It is very nice you can save a download your tracks to and from the Computer....It is nice for places you have never been and find a nice riding spot..It is saved in the gps so the next time you go to that spot you can download that track back into the gps and it will show you the area you rode before....I paid $160 for mine and it was worth the extra money...

I leaning toward the Garmin Geko 201. Has the WAAS, track back and what ever else it seems I should have for trail riding. At 129.99 price seems good. What do yonz think. Don't think I need the restaurants and motels. Since I don't travel much. That could change though, going to some ATV meets.
Vinson 36 where can I go for info on your choice. Garmin.com?

sorry posted twice, yes theres a start, i ended up cancelling that order and just picked up the garmin GPSMAP 60c series at west marine store. still need the software for detailed maps but they were sold out. so ordered on the internet, you dont need anything fancy but this model is pretty advanced, i do alot of traveling in cities im not familar with so it was money well spent. needed it really. ive had the magellan series and didnt care for it, got lost often.
