The oEMs can build an eco-friendly two stroke quad and dirtbike if they wanted to by using some of the technology used in snowmobiles and watercrafts.
But I seriously don't think they want to. If they did, you would see it on the dirtbikes before anything else and the hottest rumor going in that side of the sport is that Honda may not release the CR125R for 2005.
Another thing would be....which company wants to fall flat on their fae by building an eco-friendly dirtbike when it gets smoked by a 450 4stroke that was designed in 1998?
Bombardier, ArcticCat, and Polaris deserves some credit for what they have done with snowmobiles, but none of them offer dirtbikes or quads with 2 stroke engines, but Polaris.
2 strokes will fade away. It has been happening for the last 6 years and still there are those who haven't seen it.
