Default bad brakes

the trouble with drum brakes is they always leak, after a year of use the seals that keep the water out starts to wear and lets the water in along with dirt. the brakes will get the greasy feeling and the drums will do the same . if you take it apart and check it out you may be able to clean the shoes and drum also check the hold down pins, springs etc and get the whole collection of seals and seals . there are no shortcuts on drum brakes , fix the seals or dont bother taking it apart.
