Default GO CALGARY!!!!

Too bad Canada couldn't support the teams it would take to keep the talent up here.Over half of the players in the NHL are Canadian,I think its about 30 percent American and the rest are European. The NHL used to belong to OUR nation, now if you want a job in hockey there isn't much choice.

Taxes are killing this country, no doubt about that but support starts at the grass roots, hense I support Canadian teams, not separtists, not American but Canadian. If I had my way they would be totally Canadian, no imports, just Canadian citizens as the USA should do also.

The USA is more concerned about winning than their people, Canada is more concern about money than winning and the pride instilled in their people from it. The USA is too full of pride and we don't have enough.

Hockey players are no different than teaching doctors(throughout all of school) to practice elsewhere. They go where the money is, not where their loyalities are. They sell themselves out to the highest bidder, they sell themselves out for money. The USA can have Wayne the Weiner, I personally could care less if I ever heard from his wimpy face again. The same goes for these doctors and nurses who jump ship, like rats.

Go Calgary ! ! !

DOA,
I have thought for years that if Canadian players stayed in Canada and played for Canadian teams, those teams would dominate pro hockey. The USA teams would be begging for mercy. It would take the NHL to new levels in popularity.

I am an American and know that we love rooting for the underdog. What game is fun when you win most of the time? Winning will satisfay you for awhile, but without being challanged to to better, it becomes stale.

Pro sports in general need to be shown that loyalty means something. Loyalty to a country, to a team, or to a group of people who have helped you to suceed. I ride my ATV more than ever because I have lost intrest in pro sports. The money and the egos have drove me to the mud. It bites my butt when I hear about players that I liked and rooted for, jumping ship from my favorite team for a few more bills on top of their already big pile of bills.
More cash does not make you a better player or role model! It just makes the fans pay more for tickets and merchandise.

If Canada could keep their players, it would force us (USA) to open our eyes to what is happening to our other pro sports. I guess youse guys would have to direct this effort at your youth leagues, as the pros are a lost cause. Maybe in 5 or 10 years you could have a group of guys ready to enter the NHL, that are committed to staying in Canada. I wish you luck!

I drew the Flames in a $$ pool I have with some friends back in Oct. Everyone laughed! Who is laughing now???

ATVQueen,

I though some American's might appreaciate a little patriotism from a Canadian as most of you have for your country, which I appreaciate.

Pro-sports do get on a persons nerves and as you, I like going out in the great outdoors to bring me into a better perspective. I just got back from camping, blackfies were real bad Sat. so we went exploring and got back about 1/2 hour before dark(perfect). We did get the tents set up before we went on tour which was a fight with the incessant blackflies. The night around the fire was TOO NICE and I would have liked to stay another because of it. Today it started raining but no flies(a blessing) the boys had tarps and we were packed up before it got wet. Had a nice non-dusty drive home, near 200kms in Sat and getting home today.

You GOT to love it.

Giver,

Sincerely, DOA

Now this is one good hockey game, for those of you not into hockey, check out the game that's on now, scrapping and the whole works. You want to see Canadians in action look no further. Don Cheery says there are 18 Canucks on TampaBay and 15 on Calgary's team.

Either way we win but really we all win when you see a game being played with such intensity and high pace.

Rock & Roll,

If any of you Americans are not watching, check it out this Sat night, you will enjoy. One more win and we will have Stanley by *****, then we're going to hold him hostage for a whole year.
