Netcape and mozilla are virtually the same. I use nestcape because it's smoking fast compared to IE and I like the tabbed browser feature. The only problem I've run into is it will choke on java applets on occasion.

lol you use it but you cant spell it..."netscape" lol...but yes netscape and mozilla are basically the same thing...I do belive that there are less problems on it to because "the public" uses IE the most so hackers/crackers mainly focus on IE not mozilla

I use it regularly. The latest Mozilla is called FireFox, and works quite well - I particularly like the integrated google search. Nice to see someone taking the lead in improving the browser - ever since MS knocked off the original Netscape company, the browser had become rather static.

Most viruses/worms (including that nasty one running around this weekend) attack the underlying operating system, not the browser, though IE has had problems from time to time, and Outlook Express has had some holes, too. Can't say that mozilla will make you much safer than IE (unless you're running it on linux, of course).

Mozilla firefox is alright. Netscape is the same as mozilla, just different plug ins and appearance.

My favorite browser is IE based. Its called the Flashpeak Slimbrowser availible from Flashpeak.com. Its a tabbed browser with better functionality and better control than mozilla. It also opens all pop ups and entries in new tabs instead of leaving your current page or having additional windows.

Been using Netscape since-- well I'm at you on a POWER MAC 300 meg desktop. Even on the new Dell laptop. Netscape rules. With MAC and Netscape --knock on that wooden head-- I have yet to get a virus. How long with Netscape? They use to give away free tee shirts. I have one.
