we dont travel and if we do it is for a day...well except once or twice when we went camping...We just keep our atv's in my grandmas barn...and she knows EVERYTHING that goes on cuz she never sleeps...so nothing really...keys are normally left in them and all...we are also good friends with the DNR officer so if something does get stolen... he can keep an eye out for it

Well at home the quad stays locked in the atached garage..which is funny since I have two vehicles but the quad gets the garage!!! but when I have to lock it up somewhere...I work at a hardware store so I got ten feet of 3/4 inch aircraft cable with plastic coating...locked with cable clamps and then padlocked with a heavy duty titanium master lock((I had one of those locks on my tree stand out in the woods once, so noone would rip off my treestand..well I lost the key..so I borowed a pair of super heavy duty bolt cutters,,,wouldn't even touch it...I ended up having to hawl a generater on my quad back to my stand then us my angle grinder to cut it off....but I got my treestand down!))

Default safe keeping?????

At home I made the gate smaller than the quad. It's a pain for me to get out, but trust me, you'll wake me up if you try it. At camp they're chained together. This sounds silly, but put a cowbell (or two) on the chain. If I hear the bell, you'll hear the bang.

At home, a well-lit yard and/or a dog are the best theft deterrents there are. When we are camping we park the ATV right next to the travel trailer and the dog keeps an eye on it for us.

It is a pity that we have to be so concerned about having our stuff ripped off.

LMFAO Some pretty funny replies. It is a shame that you can't just leave the keys in them and unlocked. We lock ours up with a aircraft cable and master lock. Fortunately, (depending how you look at it) some of the riders we go wiith leave their bikes unlocked, so, I would think ours would be left alone. Now, if I can only figure out how to lock my gas cans up???? Especially with gas as high as it is
We've had our gas stolen more times then we can count while at Pismo....They do leave the ice chest alone though
