What was your first car?
My first car was also a 55 but mine was a post. 350 chevy with 12.5:1 compression and a big .545 lift cam, it ran 12.80s at Green Valley race city in Dallas, Tx. I stripped the interior for a weld in roll bar and put some huge slicks under it after beating on the wheel wells for a few hours... 1969 GTO with 455 4 speed. the motor used so much oil i had to keep a case of the cheap oil in the trunk. i had a piece of plywood in the trunk to keep the bottles of oil from falling out the rusted fenders. it looked like crap but it would still light the tires pretty good. paid $600 for it and had to take out a 12 month loan to buy it. cutting grass didn't pay that much back then.

68 3/4 ton 4x4 Ford had 3 colors of paint and 2 of primer , but it was a big block w/a four speed,I have as many good memories about that truck as my '02 c/c 4x4 diesel dually, my how time, erases the bad ones.
