School project 2 - Why do you ride ATV's
#13
I ride for many reasons. One reason i ride MX is because i can really push myself, and it gives me a high to be about 12 feet off the ground with a quad under me. It makes me feel better knowing that i have a sport that i can be good at since i was never good at baseball or any of that stuff. I can get a big adrenaline rush from hitting a 50/60 foot table top and riding away clean. Another good reason i ride is because it keeps me away from any drugs, I am 16 and have never even touched any type of drug. I love to venture into the woods and find places noone else has been at for years, im an adventure kind of guy which owning an atv helps me get rid of the crave to go exploring. I like wowing my friends and people who go to the motocross tracks by sending a quad as high as some of the dirtbike riders and sometimes higher, it lets people know that quads can do it just as good as dirtbikes. It also spreads word around about quads, it attracts more fans. most people doubt quads, so me and other decent mx riders show them different.

I ride to relax...Too much stress in life but once I get on the ol' quad I forget all my problems...nothing but the wind and the sound of a two stroke...It is about the only time that I can truly get away from everything. No parents yelling at me, just pure concentration on what I am doing and learning from mistakes...possibly the only way I will become better

I missed your second question...My best ride, is everytime I get out there. but some of the funniest times I have had is when it is winter...ice is always fun. and then the snow drifts are fun beause you can roost them and it is awsome. and it doesnt hurt as much when you do mess up

For me, the original attraction was work. It's a handy little hauler to have on my rough-as-a-cob farm. Goes places a tractor can't go, doesn't tear the ground up as badly as a truck. Heaven forbid it should roll over, but the damage would be a lot less than with a truck. It can haul you and tools right to where you need to be, and the winch makes a pretty fair fence stretcher if you can anchor the back of the quad to something. It won't pull like a tractor or haul as much as a truck, but for those little jobs, it's great.
If the truth be told, it's also a middle aged man's dirt bike. But don't tell the IRS I said that, might lose my tax writeoff...
