does anybody know anything about RC cars?

i know this has nothing to do with atv's but i figured someone might be able to help me. im not getting pressure in my gas tank so its not forcing gas in to the carb. i dont know what the problem could be. i figured there is a air leak in one if my hoses or something but if anybody knows anything else that could cause this to happen please let me know. thanks

Check your Fuel lines for air leaks. Change it for fresh line if possible! Also if you have a fuel filter check to see that it is clean.
In actuality the fuel isn't forced into the carb it is more like assited.. Here is a quick test. Take the hose off your pipe, leave it connected to your gas tank and, blown in it kinda hard. If you see fuel going up to your carb in the fuel line and, no leaks, you have another problem!
Let us know.. I'll try to help.. I've been racing Gas RC for a LONG time!

You misunderstood.. Blow into the one that connectes to the muffler. This will pressurize the tank and, push the fuel out the line that leads to the carb!
I think you did it back wards.

Are you sure you don't have the pressure and fuel line reversed?
What kind of rc is it? I know on my tmaxx's..the fuel tank cap had a problem with staying sealed....the tank would loose pressure and cause it to run dry.
If your blowing into one line and the fuel is filling the pipe...the lines are reversed for sure....the bottom line from the tank goes to the carb...the top line from the tank to the pipe.
hope this helps....nitro rc trucks/buggies is another of my stinkin expensive hobbies...well along with helis.

the lines arnet reversed. i tried again and blew harder and it worked. when i prime it the gas doesnt go into carb. it runs for a couple seconds then dies b/c of lack of gas.
the RC is a Duratrax Evader.

Instead of Priming it by the tank pump, try pluging the pipe outlet w/ your finger and, give the cord a few tugs this will force fuel in the carb fuel line. this is the best way to prime the engine. If the line doen't stay primed once you get it runnign you definitly have a leak or, a clog!

I did not mention what bags said above...but that is the best way to prime it...if it still seems to be loosing it's prime/pressure...try shortening the pressure line a bit.
Was it running before? or are you just trying to get through break in?
