my friend and i live near a trail that we've been riding on for years. to get there we need to ride about 1 mile of streets, but about 1/4 of that is dirt road. the rest of it is very lightly used traffic. usually you don't even see any cars getting to or from the trail. anyways, no one has ever complained to us or anyone else that we know who ride there about us being there. we never go excessively fast or do anything stupid like that, and we always wear all our saftey stuff. yesterday, he got stopped by a cop coming home, and as luck would have it, he was riding his brothers cr80, which wasnt registered (his machine is). so, he got ticked for that, not having a license, being on public roads, going too fast (which he told me was bs, i dont know for sure) and disturbing the peace. thats bull, because nobodys ever complained to us. just thought i'd tell you all about it......

Not having a license? What does that have to do with anything? If you're riding an off road vehicle on public roads, then you should expect a ticket for that, but I wouldn't think that you are supposed to have a lisence when you do it. Its stupid all the little crap they throw in just circumstantially, you know? If they're pulling you over for riding on the road, they should just leave it at that, unless you're drunk or carrying a weapon or something. Its not like a registered vehicle and a lisence would have made riding it on the street any more legal. Well, just goes to show you that if you get caught, you're going to get screwed. So either dont do it, or dont get caught. Me and a friend of mine have a similar set up, but I usually get him to come over to my place rather than me going to his. He's insane though, if he gets caught, he would deserve it. He actually has the nerve to pass cars on the road on the way here.

ive been caught in mass without a license and they juswt told me to go home and come back the next day. but thats brings the reason why i ride in nh, u can ride and state property(including backroad) as long as u pay the 75 for a licsense
