This morning i was listening to His speach to the CIncinatti(spelling?) VFW and let me tell you FLIP Flops were more ramped than a beach resort in mexico. the guy is ridiculous since when do democrats want to be better republicans than republicans. Its like he sits up there and preaches on everything the american people like about Bush and says bush is doin a poor job at it and elect him cuz he will do it right. He was sayin how strong his record over the last 30 years is for supporting the troops and military and intelligece(Obviously I didnt Win the Speeling Bee). agency. Last time i looked at his record he didnt support a dam thing but bending over the working man to fund some socialist projects that never work.

Not the first to say it, just the first you've seen. Kerry released his service records, go look at them. They show the same thing. I can't help that you have never looked up the person you decry. Look stuff up before making claims about them, it helps you keep from making such blunders.

I heard that speach too, but I'm not sure what you mean by flip-flops. What exactly did you feel was a flip-flop? Not trying to start trouble, I just don't know which part you mean.

 

Maybe they wern't flip flops just lies. His record says differnt than what he preaches. Im just curious why he would try and bash the swift boat guys when he gave the speach to the firemen and then when he talks to the VFW the people who that would more pertain to he doesnt even mention it? Where has he laid out his plans for all these programs he spoke of? ive heard or read pretty much all his speaches and i have yet to understand how he thinks he will accomplish anything. Socialized medicine is a bad idea for america, we are over taxed, over worked, under appriciated. Why is it the governments duty to take care of people who dont want to do good for themselves? give and inch, they take a mile. Give a fish fed for a day, teach to fish fed for a lifetime. Life is not about handouts. Help to retrain, and temporary assistance is the way. like in the old days neighbors would help with barn raisings and what not, Not the government. so i guess mainly why i dont like kerry is cuz He is all for taking my money and spending it in a way i do not aggree with.

 

I actually think his heath plan is pretty strong, but I don't think it will ever get through congress. Technically it's not a fully socialized program, it's actually stolen from what Sweden has been doing for years.

I think the problem with the "fending for yourself" argument with healthcare is that some jobs refuse to offer it. And things like COBRA are very expensive for a family on a tight budget. What I do like about Kerry's plan is that he wants to force the big drug companies to release the monopoly they have on American drugs.

Right now the insurance companies won't pay for "off-brand" drugs so people end up getting killed on the cost of pills and crap. That's why all the seniors in NY state all go over to Canada to buy their drugs at like 1/10th the cost.

But that's a problem that any President can fix if he wants. All he has to do is stand up to the insurance companies and drug companies. Of course that's no easy task for anyone.
