The truth about taxes
#1
I want to inform people who are voting Bush because they don't want riding areas closed.
Here's the gist of the problem. People pulling for Bush because they fear federal tax will go up under Kerry need to understand.
Tax cuts at the federal level like Bush is saying he will do will force states and counties to raise property taxes in order to make up the difference.
Look it up folks, every single time there are major tax cuts at the federal level there is a rise in taxes at the state and county level. How else do you think the money gets made up? Tax cuts are a joke and DO NOT WORK in the desired effect. The rich corporations and individuals can afford to hire the lawyers to point out the loop-holes and keep their tax cuts under the current format.
Bush's tax plan will result in higher state and local taxes, property taxes are going through the roof right now and they will continue to grow. This will force more lands up for sale and will close more riding areas.
This is not meant to bash Bush, it's meant to inform those who don't understand how the taxation system works. And from the comments I read here about the closing of riding areas and the Bush/Kerry election I see that's quite a few people.

This is not meant to bash Bush? Everything you post bashes Bush or anyone who supports him! It is true that in some areas when taxes are cut, other funds are shifted. I would rather see less government, but we all know that this is a tough time this country is going through. But we still have too many bonehead government workers that can't make it in the real world..AHEM. I would hate to see Kerry (the coward) come in, raise taxes on the federal level. We will see no break in our local taxes. They just take and take and take.
As for rich corporations or individuals, ITS THEIR MONEY! They employ the rest of America. A tax break to them may be another dozen or so new employees. Sure raise the taxes on the rich and see jobs lost, economy slow down, and more poor people.....that will vote.......democrat....go figure.

True a president can only do so much for the economy, but he does have power over taxes (if congress approves) if you think kerry is going to get in there and fix it all you have another thing coming. He will raise your taxes at the federal level and the states will not lower theirs.
I know there have been some jobs lost since technically Bush was in office but you have to understand, he did not get into office and fire 3 million people. You had several factors that caused it- NONE of his policies were in effect yet, so by your logic, and the rest of the Bush haters, you should actually thank your buddy Bill for the job losses (by the way the economy was in a spiral when he left office - look it up).
You also had a over-rated tech sector deflating and corporate scandals looming (which kinda screws up investors, which in turn leaves the company with less money for expansion, which leads to job losses), and last but not least, you had 9/11 which definetly rocked the economic world. I mean the towers were the financial monuments in the US. Bin laden knew that and wanted to defeat american global monetary power. Go back and read about it. Dont beleive everything the media crams down your throat. Get the true, real unpropagated facts as you stare down the barrel of history.

IS Bush the ceo of all corporations doing this and whispering in their ear like a little devil or something, "making" them do it? the ceos look at a deal on paper and it appears to save money so with a pen stroke, glass of water and a smile they make the decision -because they think it will cut costs and increase the bottomline. Bush has nothing to do with it.

You can also blame the American People for jobs going overseas. Why is that? Because we want to make excellent wages, but pay dirt cheap, for the products that we buy. Now, the only way that can be, is to make the products at a lower costs. And other countries are providing the companies, the workers who can do just that. People in Indonesia, where a lot of businesses are going, earn literally pennies on the dollar compared to us. Not to mention the far east.
Also, look at the how hard it is to build a new plant, building, or anything else that might house a questionable material. All the "not in my backyard" signs come up and law suits are filed, etc.
Can you blame the CEO's for going out of country? We are our own worst enemies
And, this is just a tip of the iceberg.

I don't bash Bush, I bash his policy. I don't call him a coward like you refer to Kerry. And as far as you bashing me about making it in the real world, PLEASE!! You don't know me from a hole in the wall. I'm doing just fine right now. And as far as companies and their OWN money you need to wake up. I guess you enjoy letting giant drug companies steal your money through federal mandates under current health insurance regulations? You have no problem with senoirs who worked hard for this country all their lives, served in wars, and busted their ***** to make America what is it, going poor because they can't afford health insurance under the current system?
If that's how you like it, vote Bush. You assesment that large corporations employ most of America is false. A tax break to them means nothing more than another BMW. These people are not giving back even what you are giving back every week by ratio to proportion.

Under Kerry's plan, the federal tax increase on corporations will help to ease local tax burdens on private land owners. I'm not saying large corporations should not keep the money they make, but they should pay what they are supposed to and they DO NOT!!!
You have no idea how much money they get back in taxes that you and I do not. And I'm not talking overall capital, of course volume is more.
Under Bush's plan large corporations are currently getting school tax breaks. Why? I pay school taxes at two residence and I have no kids.

The 80s boom was started because Carter was the last President to actually have an officially balanced budget. Reagan did a good job keeping it going and actually did a lot of great things.
I give credit where credit is due, Reagan was a GOP guy but I still repect what he did. It's not about the parties it's about the policy. Bush is no Reagan.
