There would have to be some kind of maximun posted speed for ATV's I have ridden mine on the road and done lane change at 60mph. Its scary to say the least, the bike is somewhat shakey as it is and then you want to turn it. Yeah i would say a maximum speed of around 45-50 wouldnt be too bad.. Now as for say My Big Bear on the road. Ha! with those Mudzilla's i wont drive that thing over 35.

My Predator is street legal I dont really ride it on the street that often, I really only did it so I could ride in those places where it is "registered vehicles only" The times that I have ridden it on the street it was not too bad, but I never went over 45 MPH. I think the Pred actually lends itself to better handling on the street because of its width.

I guess i dont follow. if a quad was specifically designed for street usethat was low and wide with limited slip it really aint much differ than a geo metro without a cab. well its a hell of allot faster and handles way better. if you can ride a trike on the road whats the diff with 4 tires? It can be done. Hell i ride a sportsman 500 on the road all the time and it dont handle anyworse than it does offroad at whatever speed you go.

i tear *** up and down my road and all over where i live, sometimes even going to the gas station in town and what not and i usually cruise at a good 55-60 mph...and it aint no sportbike but it'll change lanes better than my big truck...stop quicker too...i dont get all you guys sayin 35-40 mph..maybe your quads are all rickety or something needs to be fixed...60 on pavement is nicer than 60 thru a field on my z...hell same with the peaks to...
