Default cleaning your atv?

I looked inside the air box and it was dry...is there any possible way it could get into the carb or anyplace there is fuel?.... Heres the exact story if it helps any...I ran the quad(lakota) for like three days with no problems but when I washed it with the hose and started it back up it was acting like there was water/dirt in the gas/carb. but heres the puzzler...I turned the idle up higer and it seems too run normal without cutting out. why will it not run on the slower idle like I had it before the wash?.... Im confused..any suggestions

There might be some water under the plug cap or up in the coil wire where it goes into the coil. My Big Bear cuts out when i get in deep water or if i slam into it and cause alot of steam.

next time you spray it down.. let the engine cool first. when its hot things expand and the seals all around your engine may let a little water in. be careful spraying ur hot engine with cold water.. u can crack your case
