For any of you that follow the motorcycle scene, you may have already heard. But the great Indian Larry passed away today after a crash during a stunt. He did NOT have a helment on. May he rest in peace

Indian Larry was one of the original people to start building custom choppers back in the 60's. If you watch the Discovery Channel, the have a thing on there called the Great Bike Buildoff. He was featured on there a few weeks ago. He inspired a lot of people to do there thing with bikes and started a whole new way of modding bikes. The stunt thing, he has been doing long before he started the building thing.

Larry was best known for building custom, old school, choppers. He was performing a stunt by standing on the seat and the bike started to wobble and he fell off. He was not wearing a helmet which might have saved his life. A very creative man will be missed

I just can't understand why people refuse to wear helmets. It drives me crazy when I see someone riding without one, it's just so stupid. Our skulls are one of the weakest bones in our bodies, yet it houses an organ that is likely the most delicate.

I feel bad for his family and friends.

That is a real bummer. I watched all those biker build off's. I think he was the one that split the trophy in half with Billy Lane. Why some one would not wear a helmet is beyond me. Very sad.
