Dyno Runs
Well, there was an onsight dyno at sandfest this year. I thought what the heck, we'll give it a shot. Our bikes are not drag bikes. We dune and ride them and just like racing on the side. The operator of the dyno told my wife he was impressed with the numbers for what the bikes looked like. Dana's 330R pulled 53 RWHP and had a nice flat torque curve. My Banshee made 58 RWHP and my neighbor's 370 stroker honda ported by ESR (their TRX-11) made only 55 RWHP. It was nice to see that my porting is making some decent numbers. All of these were done on race gas and the temps were over 100 degrees. It was the first time we have done this and was very informative. I would say if you get the chance have it done. We also received fuel/air mixture charts and a speed/gearing chart. Thanks to Kevin Helt out of Dyno Works in Kansas.

Beech ,I think it hurt my neighbor's feelings to see that my wife's was doing almost as much. She actually has a 4.93 timeslip to his best of 4.95. People have to realize that ESR (or most companies, remember I said most) wont spend the time to properly port cylinders when they pay a guy by the hour and the jugs need to go out. I'm sure Mr. Sanders himself would get a better job done for one of his own personal bikes. Bang for the buck ESR is great and they are very helpful. I have nothing against them.

the gas 370 we ported ran a 4.61 the only time ive ever put it on the track. I beat eddie himself with his personal alcohol 370 with my gas bike. You cant tell me that didnt ruffle his feathers. Eddie still to this day ports all his motors and he is very capable of making stuff run. I know of two motors that he did that flat haul a$$ but a normal customer will never get that type of performance.
