Ivan who????
#11
Whats up people, first time I have got online since Wednesday afternoon. Ivan was pretty wild, but Mobile was lucky becasue at the last moment it veered east and made landfall at Orange Beach, AL which is on the AL-FL stateline. Mobile got the weaker side of the storm which means we had winds in the 80mph range and Pensacola, FL got the real bad side of the storm with winds in the 120-130 mph range. Mobile was hit hard, while Pensacola was completey ravaged. I am now on my 4th day without power or water at my house so I gladly came into work today when they called and told us they had power restored (A/C). The word now is that we probably will be without power anywhere from a couple more days to maybe 10 days. After seeing what it did to Pensacola I probably would not stay around for the next one, I gambled and just got lucky this time. I do feel blessed that we were not hit as hard as expected, but also feel bad for the people over in Pensacola because they got tore up pretty good. Kinda of wierd to think that for one community to escape the storm another has to take the hit.
Did anyone else on here get hit with it, I heard on the news that the storm was causing problems all the way up to WV and NC...
