The recruiter started asking me if i had any health problems so I told him. It would of come out anyways. After I told him that the interview was over. He said there was no chance of me getting in to any branch of the military

So can you run with it? If so, go to another recruiter and don't say anything about it. But you better damn be sure you can do some serious physically training without any problems. Don't disqualify yourself by revealing things (and don't lie either, just don't bring the subject up) make them do it. Hey if they don't ask don't worry about it. Trust me, I have applied for several Federal Agent jobs, been in the Army and worked for 4 different Police departments and its the same old shat, just a big administrative game on the front end. Once your in your good. Anyway if you want it bad enough you will make it happen. Nothing worth while is easy.

Me = 9 years as a Marine. I have asthma, and have all my life. Sounds like the Army recruiter is a lazy *** and his quota is met.

If it does not present a current problem, it ain't an issue.

I had a friend that tried to enlist(Army,Navy,Marines,Air force) and they all told him the same thing. There excuse was with asthma if you would become a POW it would be some thing that could be used against you (as a torture). Makes no sence it seems that there is what about a million other ways you could be tortured.

Had another friend going into the Navy(really smart guy) scored extremly high on his ASFAB(?). He was assigned to work in the nuclear program. He got threw boot and everything and was fixin to be stationed somewhere when, he got his release papers. He was like what the Fudge! did I do. Well it appears that he had been on a prescription drug 4 years prior. Four years ago was the last time he had used it.

And my pot smokin, color blind friend got right into the Army no problem! go figure.

Does that mean if there was another draft, people with asthma could not be drafted?
