We are raised as a middle to lower class to believe that anyone can be president. It's a load of ****! Only the really rich and well connected ever become president. As a middle to lower class we are taught that it is our duty fight for freedom. Why aren't most of Americas really rich sons and daughters fighting for freedom? It's believed to be below most of them. But they are the people that really fully enjoy the benefits of being free. They have all the money.
Our government does not support the people fighting for our country. What is the average income of someone in the military? What is the average income of the people that will benefit from this war? (because of oil or contracts) How well does our government support a person that has lost a limb during a war or effected by something like chemicals? Or even the mental stress of witnessing the killing and what goes on in a war? How well does our government support a widow with kids after her husband has been killed? I know a few families that have lost their homes since their family member has been in the war.
The elite people in this country look down on the middle to lower classes. They consider them a statistic. Someone to make a dollar off of and to take advantage of.
The elite have a different way of thinking and a different way of raising their young. They are not concerned with the masses but only their elite little groups.
When is the middle to lower class going to wake up and realize that their is a need for a third party. A party that is truly concerned about the population as a whole and not just their elite little group.
brutis- Don't feel too bad about not being able to serve. When a person is sitting with bullets all around them and bombs going off. They are not thinking about freedom or fighting for their country. They are thinking about saving their own as5 so they can see their poor family one more time. They are scared. Enjoy your life.
If the middle to lower class really wants to keep this country free. Go to school and learn. Take up politics and make the world a better place. Instead of just talking about it like all the other leaches on society like Bush and Kerry. Knowledge is power.
