well in the NOVEMBER 2004 issue of ATV SPORT they tested teh Nissan Titan 4X4 SE and heres what they said:
"youve prolly seen all the nissan commercials that brag about the half ton titan and its 9,500 pound towing capacity. I wanted to put these claims to the test. Nissan loaned ATV sport the 4X4 SE model, which comes with the standard 5.6 liter V8 with 305HP and 379lb. ft. torque. It also came with nissans "popular package" which included an eight way power ajustable seat, six-disc CD changer, and a few other gadgets.This test truck also had the off road package which included 17 inch alloy wheels with P285/70R17 tires, rancho shocks , tow hooks, and skid plates.
Nissan set this truck up with all needed extras for this test: A 10,000 pound hitch with additional brake and light wiring. A stabilizer hitch managed the tongue weight of the trailer and the titans towing control. National RV provided a 24 foot toy hauler that weighed 6,000 pounds empty. I loaded another 1,700 pounds including two ATVS and supplies, and took a 12 day road test. (ill finish it soon i have to go do something lol)

you can go on and on about how much horsepower a truck has, and i love people who buy hemi's just because it has a hemi...its hilarious it has no advantage over anything else...except HEMI HEADS WOO YEA HEMIIIII! but hey whatever dodge is selling....and if u wanted a fast truck do a little research on the gmc cyclone / typhoon

man some of you guys are hard to convince, these new Dodges with the so called Hemis are b.s., it's not a REAL HEMI, that makes the Hemi name look bad, the 5.7litre hemi is a p.o.s., all it has are Hemi heads, if that. the 426 was the only true HEMI that Dodge made, it'll stop the living sh** out of any truck out there today, i'll put a damn garantee on that, the 440's were the only engines close to the 426's, but didn't have the HP that a 426 did, my dad is a Dodge freak, he knows every little bit about them, i'll take the engine out of my dad's 74 Dodge Dart and slap it in a truck, and line it up against any truck out there. Dodge is screwed up putting the Hemi name on a p.o.s. engine, and then most people are led to believe just because it says Hemi on it, that it's a fast truck.....nope don't believe s**t like that, the 318 in a Dodge Dakota will run with that 5.7 Hemi, and the 360's are just JUNK, they are slower than hell.

well think what you want, the RT/10 Ram has the Viper engine in it, if you can get the tires to hook up instead of burning, the Nissan's would be toast, and the SVT Ford Lightning has the same engine as the Mustang Cobra R i'm positive of, it's something like a supercharged 5.4, and when you put something into a lightweight body, with about a 3.73 gear ratio, you are going to get a fast a$$ truck. i'm not too sure about the new Silverado SS, but back around 1990 there was the Chevy SS that had a 454 that came stock in the truck.

 

the silverado ss is a peice of junk you are better off getting the joe gibbs silverado its faster and looks the same. the silverado ss just has a body kit, differnt tires, shocks, and maybe alittle tunning on the engine. the joe gibbs silverado has a supercharger and acouple other things and you can still get it through chevy!

 

i was refering to the older chevy SS, not the new ones, the old ones came with 454's, also a gas hog though.....
