i dunno, i like to wear all the gear, i just got Troy Lee jersey, pants, and hemet that all match my TLD quad, and NEW WHITE BOOTS

I wear my helmet even if I am just puttin around the yard, I agree that it's a bunch of crap not to wear it.

 

If i didnt wear it .The reflection off my baldass head would blind others.[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/img]

 

When I first got my quad I hated helmets but after a while I realized how important it was and it saved my teeth once and I know it will save me again and again.
I don't wear a helmet when I'm camping and wanna go from a tent to the other and sure feel so damn weird. [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-confused.gif[/img]

 

I'm sure we are all guilty of that helmetless spin around the yard, but people have to use common sense.

When we were kids on BMX bikes we NEVER wore a helmet. I saw kids do some crazy friggin' things on BMX bikes with no helmets on. However, when we rode quads or MX bikes we pretty much always wore a helmet. I know more than one person who would not be here right now if not for a helmet, one of them might even be reading this ("The BBB"). Even if it was an open-face skull cap, we wore it.

I see no reason why people don't wear the new helmets. They are so light and comfortable, and so cheap. I paid something like $79 for my HJC at a local dealer. I pretty much go by the "shift" rule. If I know I'm going to shift out of first gear, I make sure my helmet is on. If I'm putting a washed quad away, or loading it on my truck, I'll admit, I don't wear it. But if I plan on shifting into second gear at any time my helmet is on.

 

I have been known to ride around with out a helmet befroe....a couple times on the more aggressive side too. I have had one or two close calls when not wearing it...once the throtal stuck on the tb when I was attempting to do a wheelie on it....I hurt my big two and that was all that got hurt. I normally throw one on now, unless I am out with a friend that has never rode before because then I slow WAY down....and when I am out riding with my little bro, I wear one to show him it is a good practice too

 

Were allowed to ride on the roads without a helmet here,quads yes,but bikes no.Either way I ALWAYS wear a helmet when riding my quad or a bike.I have some bada$$ helmets too,so I wanna wear em anyway [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/img]

 

I would of died awhile go, i know i would have, ive had a few concussions and yeah it sux, but all of them ive had my helmet, on a few skiing, ive banged my head plenty of times riding, i wear a helmet doin everything, riding, and skiiing, mountain biking, i normally dont wear it down at my local BMX track but thats cuz i never get to daring but i probably should

 

I know I should wear it all the time, but I generally only put mine on when I have the intention of going out and doing some fast aggressive riding. When I do things like take my dogs for a run I never wear it. Actually it is kinda funny I sometimes don't wear a helmet because in cars I wear my seatbelt no matter what.

 

Same here. Every time I get in I automatically put on my seatbelt. Sometimes I even have it on while the car is parked. Just a habit I picked up when I was younger.
