I like the EVS BJ2. Besides chest protection, it has excellent shoulder and elbow protection! Once, this thing saved me a broke shoulder.

My choice for a classic plastic chest protector would be the Six Six One Defender 2.

I'm thinking about getting a chest protector for myself and the wife we bought the kids each one

MWQ, my oldest daughter just has asked for a neck roll after Saturday's ride if, she asked for it, she'll get it

Reconranger, thanks for the link on the sixsix protector Looks like it protects pretty good And, I couldn't get the other link to work

You can never be too protected. You have seen what I wear when I ride.

Almost bought one of those neck rolls for my youngest son. He was having a hard time keepimg it on 2 wheels for a while.

Yea, I remember you reminded me of Mel Gibson in Road Warrior except, your gear was brighter

Notice that a lot of companies call these "roost protectors" rather than chest protectors??? This is obviously done for liability reasons. Of course, nobody uses these because of a little roost.......people want genuine upper body protection. It would be nice if the manufacturers would stop being so timid. I would like to see them start putting some of their R&D into genuine, anatomically sound protection (including issues like back support, etc). A few companies like EVS and Six Six One, seem to be headed that direction.
