Take it out to the middle of a deep lake and drop a brick through the middle. Oh and make sure you are wearing a life vest! LOL!!!

 

The easiest way to get rid of a boat is to trade it in on a new polaris atv. [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img] but if that doesn't work then I would say I like the flower bed idea.

 

Try finding a boat "graveyard" or junkyard etc.

And dont try the dumping it off in the woods or river thing because most times they are able to trace it back and find out where it came from.

 

take it some place and burn it,

I just looked at it once, but it looked like an old ski boat. Its been gutted on the inside, and the motor is gone. Basicly it has bare wood inside, and the fiberglass hull and thats it.

 

My brother inlaw is into old boats . Please respond , I may have your guy that wants it . We are in Illinois too . I gave him a ring and left a message .

BTW he has 2 1930ish Chris crafts , the one that is restored is about a $40,000 rig .

You might make very sure that the trailer is not shot as well. Bad springs, bearing, axle U bolts, trusses, and tires can make that free trailer not so attractive.

 

OK my plan was to get it and take it directly to a place to get rid of it, But I guess I will just bring the whole thing home and check it out. The trailer looked in great condition when I looked at it. The tire on the one side is brand new. The guy got it last year from a farmers shed and was going to fix it up, but never got around to it. Now his wife is getting upset about the space it is taking up so He said I can have it for free.

I will prob. get it next week, and will get some pics and see if your inlaw is interested rick.

 

easy put a for free sign on it , people love stuff for free, at least i do !

 

If you do this just make sure you remove the trailer from under it as I had seen three boats with trailers on the side of the road local marked free boat, and within a day all had boats lying on their side and missing trailers.
