327 and 350 heads are interchangeable. Ask your shop specifically what the problem was.

If that's exactly what they said find a different machine shop. What garyc660R said, they are interchangeable.

Alright, whats the real story here?
First you say the machine shop said that you have the wrong heads. You told me that you thought you had 350 heads when you actually had 327 heads.
Now you tell me you have center bolt heads. If by that you mean center bolt valve cover heads they are not 327 heads then. Center bolt valve cover heads are only late model heads and not some 327 heads that were last made 35 years ago. If you have center bolt valve cover heads they are vortex or some late model head like that, not 327 heads.
All rockers for SBC are the same. Sure, you can have different ratio's but that won't "crush" the P rods. Did you use the same rockers that came on the head? For all I know you have 7/16's rockers on 3/8 studs?
Your going to have to tell us the real story for us to help.

dude i have no idea i just bought the truck two weeks ago put on a hundered miles and blew a head gasket when the shop pulled the heads the said the pushrods where collapsed they sent the heads to a machine shop the machine shop told me the heads are 327 fuelie heads they told me the ends of the valves where worn from the roller rockers that where on the heads so they are just putting regular rockers in and using hardened pushrods and they said the one head was warped so they are replaning it that is all i know

LOL! Sounds like the machine shop is gonna trade you a set of low compression 350 heads for your small chamber 327 heads!

Whats the casting #'s on your heads? 186, 041, 292?

You could very well be right Chris. It is beginning to look that way. Funny thing is, depending on the application the Vortex heads are a better head.
Post the pictures of the P rods and also the casting # like Chris said. (good idea Chris) Also make sure if they machine one head make sure they machine the other the same amount. I'm beginning to wonder about the knowledge of the machine shop.

The Vortex heads won't bolt up to his manifold will it? Don't the 4 center bolts have a different angle?

Ya, they will bolt up. You have to angle grind the center bolt holes straight up and then put angle shims under the bolts. I've done it and so has several of my friends. Kinda hokie but it works and I've never seen a manifold leak. I think Summit even sells the stupid little shims to do it.

Ya, I done this once on a torquer MPG 350. On the original topic, we have a variety of info going in different directions and I smell a shady shop. I would definately get a better explanation from the shop BEFORE he performs any work.
