i have run over three squirrels at our farm, they live in two trees and always run down one tree and run back up the other like its a game of nott getting hit. and i have squished two of their tails and killed one, well i killed it after i got off the quad, just to put it out of its missery, it probably would have made it but i didnt want it to suffer. if you know what i mean

a deer, woodchuck, and a turkey.... and semi snapping turtle
the whole deal with the turtle was i parked my scrambler out in my driveway. well apparently a snapping turtle took refuge on the underside of the scrambler where i didnt look.. needless to say, i hopped on real fast to go riding, the machine shaking scared the turtle, and the SOAB bit my front tire. being a lil 2ply stocker, it popped it instantly. of course im sitting on my scrambler and before i even started it i hear the loud BANG wondering, now wtf did i do... saw the turtle, then the tire... couldnt get the thing out of my driveway since he came after anyone who went in it... eventually we got him to lock the the jaws on a pipe and carried him to the pond. tire was junk...lil soab was lucky i didnt go grab the 45-70...

Well this weekend I had several close-calls with chipmunks. I also had a deer bolt out in front of me, but it was about 10 yards up the trail. I have seen deer jump across the trail in the past, but the best was the fox...
I was crusing the woods in Ravenna a few years back, when a red-tailed fox jumped out in front of me. He bolted, but was following the trail. It was the coolest game of chase I've ever played. I stayed about 20 feet behind him and chased him for atleast two minutes. I couldn't believe he stayed on the trail, even after a couple hard turns. It was a blast until he finally jumped off the trail. Not that I was trying to hit him, but it was really cool to run with a wild animal.
