Default Sore thumb

Went riding this weekend, and I must be out of shape, because my thumb was acheing, long before the ride ended.

Anyone have any tips on how to prevent this from happening again, or other ways to operate the throttle? I ended up using the first finger to hold the grip, and pushed with the middle finger. It was awkward to say the least, but it relieved the discomfort for a while.

Get one of those handgrip things. Put it in your desk at work (or whatever occupation you have) and when you get a couple minutes here and there, use it. A couple of times a week, and you'll notice a big difference.

they do make a throttle extender that rests in the palm of your hand.
I have them on all my quads, a life saver on long rides.
