ya getting a v6 is a smart idead....if you WANNA BE A GIRL!!! if you cant afford the ss or z28s then get a hatchback stang...87-93 5.0 manual...some years look real sharp and every exhaust u put on it, guessing it doesnt already have one since most people when they bought that car that was the first mod they did, the exhaust sounds great, and the car can defently scoot

...well, why only manual? If your looking to street race it, or run from light to light, i would never ever pick a manual. if your looking just to have a fun time driving, get a manual, but it does get old(remember, all the really fast drag cars are automatic), none the less though, stick with gm, like an 80's iroc or something, they look sharp, and you can get them in the low 13s rather easily. If you do have the money to spend, get an ls1 car(the ls1/2/6/7 imo the best small block ever introduced to man). But then again, talking motors and going fast, is another can of worms waiting to be opened. Defintly go with the fbody(camaro/firebird) and make sure it is atleast 5.7 liters(350), but hey, what do i know about small block chevy's?
and remember, automatics shift faster when built right

I have learned that the '83 to '88 SS Monte Carlos draw more crowds than late model Camaros, Trans Ams, and Mustangs. I know a Monte isn't on your list but there is nothing else out there in your price range that looks more like a muscle car. They all came with an auto trans but remeber....an auto is more consistent in a drag race. Ive got a ZZ4 350 in my '87 (check my pics), a 200R4 auto trans w/ a shift kit and 4.10 gears.....I can spin 3rd gear just as long as any manual. If you want to have a car a lot of people have than a mustang, camaro, or trans am is a good choice. If you want to be a little different...check out a Monte Carlo SS.
