Every time i sign in this happens- once my buddy list comes up and i click on a screenname to talk to them, the "aim has encountered a problem and needs to close" icon comes up. Any ideas?

 

my bro had the same prob with gaim. its like aim but you can see the the persons icon. but he just uses regular aim now. you might want to try downloading the program again.

 

allready did that. im stumped.

 

Check the Event Viewer.

Right Click "My Computer"
Click "Manage"
You'll see Event Viewer as one of the options. Go through it to look for anything related to Aim. Check your computer for spyware and viruses. Uninstall and reinstall Aim.
Try booting your computer into safe mode w/ networking and see if Aim will work then. That will tell you if it's Aim related or one of your background processes. If anything I said seems to have confused you or you can't find it. Try windows help and Google.com.
