Got some info on the tm, they are an italian bike, there is a dealer here for them but I have been advised not to get the bike as the foul plugs constantly unless you can keep em' flat out all the time.

Dont be afraid of the power, the 250s are easier to ride due to there more mellow powerband. On a 125 the powerband hits HARD an will throw you off the back if your not carefull,a 250 just starts accelirating with almost no powerband hit, they are still very powerfull bikes though and you have to respect them. Imho they are MUCH easier to ride though. Im only 14 and I went straight from an XR250 to a CR250 and it was my first 2stroke also,I think you would be fine on a 250 esspeccialy since you already have a zilla.

Not sure about parts availability, but I seen one race prepared, with ohlins,k&n etc. the tm seem to be quite popular here. I wasn't sure if I would be able for a 250 the way i hear people talkin about the 125's the 250 would be monsters. I'm no midget i'm 6foot1 and a heavy build.

If you do go the 2-stroke route, I recommend the 250 for trail riding to. You can lug them more. I skipped the 125 and went to straight to a 250 about 5 years ago or so.
Also, someone said the 4-strokes are more reliable. That is False when it comes to 4-stroke motocross bikes. They require a lot of attention, especially in the valves. 2-stroke motocross bikes can take more of a beating and still are cheaper to keep up. My buddy is starting to regret his 250f fourstroke.
