Default When tv shows had less reality.

I read "Little house in the big woods" by Ingalls and loved it, therefore watched the show.

I think the Waltons should be required viewing for kids today.

How many remember (clearly) watching the first moon walk?????? Yep, we barbequed that day and watched it on the old black & white.

Also, the memory is murky, but I remember all the hubbub on TV when Robert Kennedy was shot.

I remember the very first Scooby Doo when it came out.

I especially liked the old Dodge commercials "The mark of the bumblebee!!" showed Chargers and Super Bees taking off with that back wraparound stripe. I was in love.

Now I'm just bloviating.

I remember it quite vividly. I was living in Pheonix, Maryland at the time. I think we had a new black and white.

Gumby and Pokey.

David and Goliath.
Davey and Goliath, the only cartoon on Sunday morning.

Who'd have thought all this did fit on three channels.

The first space event on TV I remember was Challenger (though that was in 4th grade.) Came out to recess to everyone talking about it.
