I should find the gas record book from my car I had. Had a low price of 87 cents a gallon (yes, that's US currency and US gallons. ) And it was only a few years ago! I don't think we'll ever see prices THAT low again. EVER.

And I forgot...gas is STILL going up around here. Gotta make sure that California gas is more expensive than anywhere else. Kinda interesting...crude prices are down about $6 a barrel, commodity unleaded is down a pretty good amount...but our retail prices are up even more. Makes you go hmmm. I just wish my 401(k) had an oil based investment. Nothing but oil and petroleum industry.

Lowest is 2.999 in Fresno and 3.059 in Clovis.

If you wanted a great stock portfolio all you would have had to do is buy

tobaco

chewing gum

soft drinks

and the last would have been oil.

Gas here in Oregon, Illinois is at $2.99. By next week they say for us it should be round 2.75 to 2.80 for unleaded. That seems cheap now. Dont it. But it aint. Its better than 3.29
