Rocky Mtn. Jamboree
#1
Just got back from the Rocky Mtn. ATV Jamboree. Oh man, the best vacation I have ever had in my 38 years.
I parked my truck, and rode my quad everywhere for a week. And won the mud bog competition. I will definatly be there next year. Utah is so great, the shortest ride I went on was 50 miles. If you go you better bring gas on the trail.
I think there where about 780 quads there, double last year. People from the east coast where even there.
Thanks Roger Foisey, and Richfeild for a great time....

Thanks, Thumper, for the Jamboree report! "One of these days!"
Congratulations on winning the mudbog contest!
Please tell us on this topic about your exquipment; quad make/year/model, modifications, tires, etc, anything you can share about the competition and the results.
I must warn you: If you ride anything other than a certain make of quad, which shall remain nameless, you will receive a lot of E-hatemail and posts on the Forum doubting your accomplishment; but, you can handle it!

Sorry tree farmer, I have posted my mods. a few times and didnt want to bore anyone. But here goes. 95 Yamaha Wolverine. Bored .080", 11:1 compression, high rev. cam, ported head, modified air intake & airbox, K&N W/skin, manual clutch mod.,works dual rate fronts W/res.,Bearclaws on alum .190 rims
8/25/12&12.5/25/12, And engine tuned by myself ofcourse.
Estimate 40 horses.
The mud bog was nasty, adobe clay, and very sticky. The couse was a straight 100 ft. Seemed like a mile. I was worried about a modified Srambler, but he didnt have near the tire set up I have. My front wheel base is 8" wider than stock. It doesnt really look like a 4x4 at first glance.
Well thanks for the reply.
See Ya!!!

Thumper,
I saw the pictures of your Wolverine on your home page. That is one nice Wolverine! I've never seen one like that before, you did a great job with the mods. Perhaps we'll compete together next year.
