I can give you one bit of advice: Go to your local shop, try the gear on for the size you need, then buy it online! You can save tons!

This is what I do. I normally get my gear from Rockymountainmc.com because their prices are normally cheaper than everywhere else. Another place to check out is Motosport Outlet, I have been noticing they have good prices as well.

What do you mean everyone around has the same gear? I like THOR the best. Alpinestars for boots. SHIFT and FOX and FOUR are pretty cool too. But with name brands like those you usually end up paying a little more. THOR's gear LOOKS the best IMO.

Last time I went shopping, I just googled atv riding gear. Spent half (ok the whole day) at work looking at all the sites. If you want to save some bucks, the clearance areas, and last years models are the place to go. Heck, a while back, someone on the connection was selling Thor jersies for 10 bucks shipped. Got three of those myself.

I buy almost all of my gear from Motosport Outlet during clearance time. Last time, I got a set of Alloy gear for less than what the pants alone would have been.
