Default Loans, etc

Thank you Jay.......I completely understand and am grateful for the help.

Atvaddict........you.....hand drive 1.5-2 boxes a day??? Wow....you must be good with that hammer......I like the nail gun I guess.......I build about 3-5 walls on top of one another......then stand them all and place them........

What really kills me though is sheeting the floor.......the big 3/4" avantek is heavy for me........I'm only 155lbs soaking wet......but I've been working since I was 5........so I can handle my own.......just can't lift as much as the bigger guys, like my foreman. That is why I become the glue man........Try glueing somewhere around 10 boxes(can't remember how many)......or 5 bundles of plywood.......in a day.........with the big tubes of PL........we had 3 guys carrying......1 laying......1 nailing........and me gluing.......my god my hand was tired.......

Any of you guys ever thought of going to California to build.......or ever think of working on like a skyscraper building crew.......or building houses over in Iraq(the military came and asked me and my foreman if we wanted a job doing that by the way)........

I pretty much stay local - nice to get home to the wife and kids at a decent hour. I have worked it into an interesting sideline - organizing and doing the build for many of those How-to shows that you see on TV. No, most of the hosts do not have the time (or the skill) to build the projects. It's interesting to watch a TV show being filmed, pays well (although the hours are long) and so far I've had brief appearences on about 45 shows on four different networks. My kids think it's cool to see one of my tools on TV.

Dont think i could leave the wife and kids for that long to build elsewhere.

I hate the avantek also. But when your done sheeting it sure makes a nice deck.
On a long day ive done a little over a box.The walls are very tight when you hand
drive. My boss likes the quality. My elbow likes the gun.

Really........ I guess I didn't know that hand driving made the walls tighter.....makes sense though. I'm not real good at hand driving walls together though.....my foreman would do it that way, if there weren't enough guns. The avantek does make a nice deck.....Its usually good stuff too.

When I asked the question if you would like to work somewhere else, I guess I was more asking if there were a place where you'd rather work, due to more jobs/work.......or funner building.....etc.?? Like any areas that you know where there are good amounts of work.....guess I'm not rooted down yet.....so I'd be open to move for a few yrs I guess.
