Default Computer Problem with Forum...........

I updated my Notron anti virus, etc., software last week on my home computer. Ever since then, when I try to get into the forum, I get nothing but scrambled letters and a bunch of squares. It happened simultaneoulsly with the update, so I am sure that caused the problem.

Anybody have any ideas how I can fix this???

Thanks!

Try going into Nortons settings, and see if you can "check" or "uncheck" and boxes that will not allow content to be showed on web pages. Normally when you cannot view something, it is just as simple as going in and adjusting a few settings. hope this helps.

Computer nerd to the rescue! Try fiddling with the settings. Somewhere in there there should be an allowed website list. Add the URL of the webpage you wish to visit to the list. If that doesn't work what you can always do it in the icon tray (bottom right of screen) find the Norton Icon. Right click it and click 'Disable'. Not sure if that will work becuase I haven't updated my Nortons yet but it should be relativley the same.

What a pain in the monkey ***.. simple solutions have been exhausted.. i did notice that if i use Iexplorer that when i attempt to access the forums it asks me what to do with forums.atvconnection[1] so somethin. I created rules to allow anything and everything with ATVconnection.com and/or 198.174.40.1 wich is www.atvconnection.com and 198.174.40.4 wich is the forums server..

am I braindead or does someone else have the real answer... i'll keep on pluggin on this. till someone or I has a solution.

Where is Dr. BoB Green when you need him?

I wish my current computer had Norton so I could help you out on this one. I'm sure it has something to do with allowing certain content from a web page. Good luck in finding the solution.

I've tried about everything as of now that i can think of.. There is no setting other than turning Security off that has any effect.

worse yet i don't see anything in the logs that would indicate whats happening.
