Hi everyone,
I have a banshee, and am trying to improve its range (how long I can ride with one full tank of fuel).
I've been considering tanks and racks (see "mileage improvement" on the Yam forum.

My question goes to the rack users, and more particular, the trail rack users. I would be getting the big rack (six pack + 1 gallon on the left + 1 gallon on the right).
I wanted to know if it was tough enough. I haven't suffered any big crash yet, but no doubt, I will crash some day. Will it break? (it's aluminium, so I don't think it would bend much).
I've had one answer of a duner (that I can't remember the name) who said he did tip over and didn't break it. Is this the "common" experience?
Won't it be ripped off on a high wheelie (otherwise said "can it be used as wheeliebar?").
I'm asking all this because I would rather take the rack (cheaper, and puts some weight on the rear), but if it is ripped off after 2 rides, that'll be 80$ for nothing, whereas with a tank, it's 300$ (or 160$ the plastic IMS) once for good (but looks bad).
So My question to the rack users: Is it tough? Do you recomend someone more than another?
PS I ride hard and sporty on trails. If I ride MX I'll take off the tanks...maybe not.

Thanks in advance.

If you do crash and burn, and if it does break. Look on the bright side, it's giving added protection to the machine itself in such cases.
