Could someone tell me why cutting the front fender to nothing is "sweet looking"??? first of all i think it looks pretty dumb. second.....i don't know if its just me but the more expensive 4 wheelers are gettting........theres less frickin plastic. does all the mud that flung up from the front tires into your face get rewarded at the end of the day by you thinking its cool?? i'd just like a logical explanation on this. anyone please help me!!

it's super nice when ur working on a quad

depending on how and what you do it on, it can be pretty sweet

they can have their disadvantages in the mudd sometimes, depending on what u cut, i wouldnt cut the rears much if any, the fronts rnt as bad tho when u cut them if ur into goin through mud

i never ride in mud much so i wouldnt be affected much by cut fenders, it's spendy to buy them tho and it's to scary to do by urself cuz u dont want to screw up ur quad

Racers cut the fenders for a variety of reasons. Decreased wind resistance, weight reduction, less likely to break in a crash, looks etc, etc. I don't think fenders have gotten any smaller, have you ever seen stock quadracer/sport front fenders? In any case, most sport quads cover you in mud weather you have full fenders or cut. It is all a matter of time. My Quadracer has race cut fenders front and rear, the YFZ is stock. I don't really notice a whole lot of difference in the mud protection. One I am covered in 5 minutes, the other 10. Last weekend I could only do a couple of laps on the Yamaha before having to clean my goggs, and I was essentially alone on the track!!

Riding in Rochester already?

Damn I'm hoping to get out this weekend. The track is muddy and I don't want to destroy it anymore than I did in November. The last of our snow just melted today.
